Wild Patagonia: Where Mountains, Wildlife, and Stories Meet

The first light of day paints the granite towers in shades of gold. A cold wind sweeps across the steppe. Somewhere in the distance, a guanaco stands watch while a condor rides the rising thermals above the mountains.

Patagonia is not simply a destination. It is a place that changes the way people see the natural world.

Stretching across southern Chile and Argentina, Patagonia is home to some of the most dramatic landscapes on Earth. Vast grasslands, ancient forests, turquoise lakes, glaciers, and rugged mountain ranges create an environment where wildlife and wilderness still dominate the horizon.

Among Patagonia’s most iconic places stands Torres del Paine National Park. Its granite peaks have become a symbol of wild nature and adventure, attracting travelers, photographers, scientists, and explorers from around the world.

But beyond the famous viewpoints and hiking trails lies something deeper.

Patagonia is a place of encounters.

Encounters with pumas silently moving through the grasslands. Encounters with owls hidden among twisted lenga forests. Encounters with foxes, condors, guanacos, and countless species that have adapted to survive in one of the harshest and most beautiful environments on the planet.

It was this connection with Patagonia that inspired the creation of the Wild Patagonia Collection by Mycelio Wear.

Four Months Exploring Patagonia

Photographers and storytellers Fabián Caro and Camila Contreras, creators of the travel project Mapeando Rutas, spent four months traveling through Patagonia documenting its landscapes, wildlife, and hidden corners.

Living on the road, hiking remote trails, camping beneath mountain skies, and photographing wildlife in its natural habitat, they collected thousands of images and stories along the way.

As the journey unfolded, a simple idea emerged:

What if some of these encounters could become wearable art?

The result is Wild Patagonia.

A collection inspired directly by real moments experienced in the field and transformed into original illustrations that celebrate the region’s unique wildlife.

Wildlife That Inspired the Collection

Each design in the Wild Patagonia Collection represents a species that plays an important role in Patagonia’s ecosystems.

The powerful Puma, the apex predator of the southern Andes.

The elusive Tucúquere, one of Patagonia’s most fascinating nocturnal hunters.

The curious Chuncho, a tiny owl with a surprisingly strong presence.

The resilient Zorro Chilla, perfectly adapted to life across Patagonia’s windswept landscapes.

Every illustration is rooted in photographs captured during the journey, turning field observations into wearable stories.

More Than a T-Shirt

Wild Patagonia is not just a collection of designs.

It is a celebration of exploration, conservation, storytelling, and the deep connection between people and nature.

Every piece serves as a reminder that the wild places of our planet still matter.

That wildlife deserves protection.

And that sometimes the most meaningful souvenirs are not objects collected along the way, but the stories that stay with us long after the journey ends.

Bringing Patagonia Home

At Mycelio Wear, we believe clothing can carry more than style.

It can carry experiences.

It can carry stories.

It can carry a connection to the places that inspire us.

Wild Patagonia is our tribute to one of the most extraordinary landscapes on Earth and to the wildlife that continues to thrive there.

A collection born from four months on the road.

Created through photography, exploration, and countless moments in the wild.

For those who feel most alive where the pavement ends.
